Customer Care Manager, Morgan Sindall
Krystle has been working in Construction for over 17 years. Having successfully completed the Site Management Safety Training Scheme, the Coaching and Mentoring Skills for Managers training programme and the ILM Level 3 in Leadership and Management, she is now working towards obtaining her Level 5 in Senior Construction Management.
When asked why Krystle volunteered to participate in this programme, she advised that she wants to inspire others to become leaders within their respective organisations. She feels she would’ve found her career path a little easier if she had someone more experienced to talk to and is of the opinion that everyone, no matter how successful they are, would like a little guidance and support at times.
Krystle was chosen to mentor a group of young men within her organisation over the past year and has loved every minute of it. Now this mentorship programme is coming to an end, she is keen to help inspire and empower young women outside her organisation, to reach their full potential.
Krystle advised that whilst gender equality isn’t a problem within her organisation, in her years working within a primarily male dominated industry, there are still very few women in leadership and Management roles. Gender equality is still an issue and it is only through raising awareness and truly empowering women that the gap will be bridged.
