The role of a Digital Marketing Modern Apprentice

As a Digital Marketing Modern Apprentice you will be involved in the marketing of products or services using digital media such as smart phones, social media, tablets TV and game consoles to reach consumers. Your Modern Apprenticeship will help you to gain skills and knowledge in the principles of marketing and evaluation, image editing(Adobe Photoshop), email marketing, video editing software (Windows Movie Maker or Adobe Premier) and utilisation of social media management tools such as Hootsuite.

Who is it for?

There are no entry requirements for this Modern Apprenticeship but you must be working in a Digital Marketing role. Some of industries you could work in include:

  • Technology and IT
  • Advertising and Marketing
  • Public Sector

  • Recruitment

How long will it take to complete the Modern Apprenticeship?

The Digital Marketing Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 6 will take between 12-18 months

To complete the Digital Marketing Modern Apprenticeship, you must:

  • Sustain employment for the duration of the Modern Apprenticeship
  • Complete the Digital Marketing Diploma at SCQF 6
  • Complete the necessary in-house training days (minimum 110 hours) .e.g Google Analytics
  • Achieve the relevent core skills for the Modern Apprenticeship Framework

Employability Fund is a National Training Programme funded by Skills Development Scotalnd to up-skill, develop and support Young Persons wishing to access sustainable employment or further education.

There are 2 parts to the Employability Fund Programme. Part 1 is training based in a dedicated centre and Part 2 is a site experience on one of our community sites

This is a pre-apprenticeship program and the aim is for you as the learner to gain the skills needed to work within the Construction & Civil Engineering sector, we will do this through enhancing your knowledge of the Construction Industry as well as working on hands on skills through a diverse range of quality and interactive training including spending 8 weeks out at a community project carrying out GCO duties such as; setting out lines and levels, move handle and store materials and place and finish concrete.

What is CWR (Certificate of Work Readiness)?

A SQA approved and nationally recognised employability qualification offering you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and understanding of industry and business needs prove that you have the skills employers want.




    What Makes it Different?

  • The Certificate, developed with employers, is a credible qualification that will be recognised by those assessing your future job applications. It’s aimed at getting you into work with support offered throughout.

  • Who can take part?

  • The Certificate is open to everyone, with priority given to:
  • - 16 - 19 years old- those with a positive attitude to work - those who want to develop extra skills and who could benefit from help in getting and staying in a job.


    Aims of the Award for Young Persons

    • Identify the skills, behaviours and personal attributes that employers seek Understand and demonstrate the responsibilities and demands of the employee
    • Understand and demonstrate the skills to interact with other employees and customers
    • Develop core skills in communication, numeracy, ICT, working with others and problem solving to a work ready standard
    • Identify and reflect on their own strengths and experiences in relation to the world of work

    Award Content

    • 6 weeks training and development prior to undertaking a work placement
    • 190 hours relevant and meaningful work placement with a reputable employer
    • Must achieve approved employer assessment and evaluation to gain overall award

Employability Fund is a National Training Programme funded by Skills Development Scotland to up-skill, develop and support Young Persons wishing to access sustainable employment or further education.

There are 2 parts to the Employability Fund Programme. Part 1 is training based in a dedicated centre and Part 2 is a work placement with one of TIGERS’ employer partners. During work placement trainees will receive “on the job” training and development to further enhance employment prospects and gain sustainable employment.

The aim of this particular course is for you as the learner to gain the skills needed to work within the Mechanics sector, we will do this through enhancing your knowledge of the Mechanics Industry as well as working on hands on skills through a diverse range of quality and interactive training.
