Making Scotland an ACE Aware Nation (Individual Training Accounts)

Is an Individual Training Account (ITA) right for me?

You could receive up to £200 towards a single course or training episode per year. ITA funding could be right for you if you are

Aged 16 or over

Not in education or involved in any other Skills Development Scotland (SDS) funded programme

Unemployed and looking to get back into work

Employed and earning less than £22,000 per year

Resident in Scotland

How to Apply

1. To apply for Making Scotland an ACE Aware Nation course please click on the below link -

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the webpage and click on the ‘Apply for ITA funding’ button, this will take you to an online Application Form

3. To complete the Application Form you will need your National Insurance Number and a valid email address

4. Complete all sections on the webpage and select ‘next’

5. At this stage you will either be taken to an ‘unsuccessful page’ or a page where you need to ‘accept the terms and conditions’

6. If you have been successful and have accepted the terms and conditions you will be taken to a page to complete your Personal Details. Please complete all sections and click ‘next’

7. The next page will take you to the “Making Scotland an ACE Aware Nation” course details page, there are no sections that need to be completed on this webpage, scroll down the bottom and click ‘next’

8. The next page will ask you to ‘submit application’- you can either complete the equal opportunity questions listed or select ‘submit application’

9. Once you have clicked ‘submit application’ please contact TIGERS on 0141 771 5200 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will advise you of the evidence required to complete the registration process

10. Once you have submitted your application you will be asked to provide evidence that you earn less than £22,000 per year, for compliance we require

Your last 3 payslips

Income details provided on company headed paper and signed by your manager

If you have recently started a job, and can’t provide the documents above, please provide a job offer letter or contract of employment with your start date and annual salary

If you are not in employment please provide a letter from DWP confirming your benefit entitlement (the letter must be dated no earlier than 3 months from the date the training commences)
